Gordon Neighbourhood House is a volunteer-led, multi-service, non-profit, non-sectarian, non-government, and apolitical, community-based organization. It is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Management which is elected annually by the members of the house. Gordon Neighbourhood House is a member unit of The Association of Neighbourhood Houses of Greater Vancouver (ANH).
Our mission is to make the West End a better neighbourhood in which to live and grow.
Gordon Neighbourhood House has been serving the people of the West End since 1942. Every year we provide dozens of services to almost 10,000 individuals. Those we serve include seniors, children, parents, newcomers to Canada, street youth, unemployed and many others. In 2012 we have about 20 active programs, for full description please see Programs.

Social Programs & Services Guidebook 2011
This guidebook will assist any person or institution looking for information regarding community organizations, groups, associations and faith groups offering programs and services in the West End of Vancouver. This information was collected through the Asset Mapping exercise intitiated in 2008 and thanks to great volunteers; Gordon Neighbourhood House was able to put together this guidebook.

Greenest City Neighbourhood Small Grants 2012
Vancouver Foundation and City of Vancouver announced on April 17, 2012 "Going Green in Vancouver just got easier with new $2 million Greenest City Fund"

Eligible West End individuals can apply for the Greenest City Small Grant up to $1,000 and make Vancouver the Greenest City by 2020.

Neighbourhood Small Grants Project 2012
The first ever Neighbourhood Small Grant Project was a resounding success for the West End Community. Many diverse projects evolved during 2011 such as - Community BBQ's, Theatre Group, Drumming Circles, Community Volley Ball, Poetry Out Speak for AIDS & HIV, Iranian Women's Community Potluck, Community Art Banner, Meet Your Neighbours, Styro Free Restaurant Initiative, Grow Your Own Food and many more projects that continue to sustain themselves and ensure connectivity and engagement for residents of the beautiful West End of Vancouver.
